Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR & Admin Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources and administrative functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, and industrial relations, particularly within the gems and jewellery manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment cycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Conduct structured onboarding and induction programs for new employees.
- Build talent pipelines aligned with organizational growth plans.
2. Employee Relations
- Address employee grievances and resolve workplace conflicts effectively.
- Foster a positive and productive work culture.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management.
3. Performance Management
- Design and implement performance appraisal systems.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews and feedback sessions.
- Identify training and development needs to enhance employee performance.
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage employee benefits including health insurance and statutory benefits.
- Benchmark and maintain competitive compensation structures.
5. Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure full compliance with labour laws including Factories Act, PF, ESIC, and Minimum Wages Act.
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage international social audits such as RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council), SMETA, and customer-specific compliance requirements.
6. Training & Development
- Plan and execute employee training programs and skill development initiatives.
- Conduct coaching and mentoring sessions for workforce development.
7. Industrial Relations & Workforce Management
- Act as a bridge between management and artisan workforce.
- Handle industrial relations issues and maintain workplace harmony.
- Promote artisan welfare and engagement initiatives.
8. Health, Safety & Workplace Standards
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols specific to jewellery manufacturing (e.g., chemical handling, fire safety).
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and audit requirements.
9. Security & Integrity Compliance
- Oversee background verification (KYC) processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal security SOPs, especially for employees handling precious metals and stones.
10. HR Systems & Reporting
- Utilize HRMS platforms (e.g., Keka, GreytHR) for HR operations.
- Maintain HR dashboards and reports using Excel and other tools.
- Analyze HR metrics to support strategic decision-making.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRMS tools and MS Excel.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- High integrity and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in the gems and jewellery industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain practices and artisan workforce management.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in jewellery designing or jewellery graphics
Salary
- Salary – 40k – 60k
