Job Description
The Final QC Specialist acts as the ultimate gatekeeper of the factory before jewellery is
packaged and dispatched to clients. Their work profile includes:
1. Aesthetic & Microscopic Inspection
Conducting a meticulous 360-degree inspection of finished jewellery pieces under
magnification.
Checking for surface defects such as porosity, casting pits, scratches, fire-marks, or
uneven polishing/plating (rhodium).
Ensuring brand logos, metal purity stamps (e.g., 750, 916), and hallmarking are crisp,
legible, and correctly placed.
2. Structural & Stone Security Checks
Verifying the security of all prong, bezel, channel, and pave settings using a
specialized probe tool to ensure zero stone movement or looseness.
Checking alignment, symmetry, and straightness of prongs, findings, clasps, and
hinges.
Testing functional elements like locks, clips, joints, and screws for smooth operation
and durability.
3. Dimensional & Weight Accuracy
Verifying that the final physical product precisely matches the original CAD design
and client order specifications.
Measuring and matching stone counts, gross weight, net metal weight, and diamond
carats against the Job Bag data.
