Job Description

A Jewellery CAD Designer is responsible for creating precise 2D and 3D CAD models of diamond and gold jewellery designs. The role involves converting design concepts/sketches into technical CAD files for manufacturing, ensuring accuracy, aesthetics, and feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed CAD models of diamond, gold, and platinum jewellery using software like Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, or ZBrush.

  • Interpret hand sketches, ideas, and design briefs into 3D CAD files.

  • Ensure designs are manufacturing-friendly, with correct stone settings, weights, and proportions.

  • Collaborate with design, production, and merchandising teams to finalize models.

  • Generate renders and technical drawings for approvals and presentations.

  • Modify and update CAD models as per client or internal team feedback.

  • Maintain a digital library of CAD designs for future use.

  • Ensure accuracy in dimensions, prong placements, and gemstone layouts.

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes.

  • Proficiency in CAD design software (Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, etc.).

  • Understanding of diamond and gemstone settings (prong, bezel, pave, channel, etc.).

  • Good visualization and detailing skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects under deadlines.

  • Creativity along with technical precision.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–5 years of experience in CAD jewellery designing (Freshers with strong skills can also apply).
