Key Responsibilities

Pre-Plating Preparation

• Perform ultrasonic cleaning and degreasing to remove polishing residues and contaminants
• Conduct acid dipping or steam cleaning to ensure optimal metal surface preparation

Electroplating Execution

• Operate plating baths while maintaining correct voltage, temperature, and immersion time
• Ensure uniform color consistency across batches (e.g., Rose Gold tone matching)
• Execute selective/two-tone plating using masking techniques

Chemical & Metal Management

• Monitor and maintain plating solution concentrations (Rhodium, Gold solutions)
• Track metal consumption per batch to minimize wastage and prevent loss
• Filter and replenish chemical tanks to maintain plating quality and clarity

Quality Control

• Inspect finished pieces for defects such as peeling, pitting, or uneven coating
• Ensure plating thickness meets required micron standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in jewellery electroplating

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of plating chemistry and current density principles
• Knowledge of handling plating solutions and maintaining bath composition

Other Requirements

• High precision in handling delicate and high-value jewellery pieces
• Knowledge of safety protocols for hazardous chemicals, including cyanides
• Familiarity with PPE usage and safe working practices

• Reject Rate: Less than 2% re-plating due to defects
• Solution Efficiency: Optimal metal usage per batch vs. benchmark
• Consistency: Uniform color and finish across production batches
