Key Responsibilities:

• Create precise and production-ready 2D and 3D CAD models for a variety of jewellery pieces using software such as Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, or ZBrush.
• Translate hand sketches, conceptual drawings, or verbal ideas into high-quality CAD models.
• Ensure all designs meet the technical specifications for manufacturing, including stone settings, metal thickness, tolerances, and structural integrity.
• Collaborate with the design, production, and quality control teams to refine and finalize CADs for sampling and mass production.
• Modify existing CAD files based on design changes, customer feedback, or production requirements.
• Generate high-quality renders for internal presentations, client approvals, or marketing use.
• Maintain organized files and records for all design projects.
• Stay updated with current jewellery trends, CAD technology, and material innovations.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Jewellery Design, CAD Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD designer in the jewellery industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software: Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or equivalent.
• Understanding of various jewellery manufacturing processes (casting, setting, finishing, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of gemstones, metal types, and jewellery construction is a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-quality 3D models for plain metal chains such as Cuban, Rope, and Figaro, ensuring seamless interlocking and smooth mechanical movement
• Develop studded chain link designs, including prong, pavé, and channel settings with secure stone placement
• Ensure all designs meet technical standards, including wall thickness and casting shrinkage considerations
• Optimize designs for weight and cost efficiency by calculating gold weight and diamond breakdowns
• Prepare accurate and error-free STL/SLC files for CAM and 3D printing processes
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are feasible and production-ready

Technical Skills & Requirements

• Expertise in Rhino (NURBS modelling) or Matrix Gold for jewellery CAD design
• Strong understanding of chain engineering and micro-level detailing
• Knowledge of casting, stone setting, finishing processes, and shrinkage factors
• Ability to maintain precision for flexibility and durability in chain structures
• Experience in handling studded jewellery designs

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Jewellery Design or CAD from a reputed institute (such as NIFT, IIG, or GIA)
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in jewellery CAD design
